Here, the director gives some insight into the process behind the movement: Fukiko and Mbulelo have a really exciting dynamic and each brings something very different to what they do. We worked collaboratively on how to visualize the movement in response to musical impulses. From that intuitive process, an ambiguous narrative arc was formedstarting in harmonious unison, and through growing tension, ending up revealing something a lot grittier.
