Leslie Sarony multitalented entertainer. Pathe Studio, London. A very younglooking Leslie Sarony, dressed in white tie and tails, walks onto set to a brief introduction played by a man at the grand piano. Leslie says he would have been here before but he was delayed by a man who said Excuse me sir, but I ve got a wife and 14 children, could you help me . Sarony replied, Well I could, but aren t you satisfied . He then says he is going to give us his latest comedy chorus song that he wrote for Stanley Lupino in Love Lies, entitled I Lift Up My Finger And I Say Tweet Leslie gives us a nice rendition of this jaunty song, which was one of his most famous compositions. It s about saying tweet tweet, shush shush, now now, come come in all kinds of interesting situations The usual kind of nonsense song, but quite good fun.
