The Boat Used to Take Down Drug Runners: SAFE Boats Interceptor 41 Walk through
To chase down drug runners and human traffickers, the Department of Homeland Securitys Air and Marine Operations uses a purposebuilt vessel that is capable of high speeds, quick maneuvers and running at night with no lights on. The 41foot SAFE Boats Interceptor offers the agents a stable platform so they can chase down boats in any conditions, at any time of day or night. Power Motoryacht joined the Air and Marine Ops for a day on the water out of Miami, Florida, and got to see this vessel up close and personal. If youve ever wondered about the boats you see patrolling the U. S. borders, check out this video. We were very impressed with the handling, construction and thought put into this vessel. To read more about our day on the water with the Air and Marine Ops pick up the September 2021 issue of Power Motoryacht magazine.
