TELEMANN Fantasia 10 f, minor TWV Alexis Kossenko ( LCDP, 2)
Georg Philipp TELEMANN (16811767) Fantasia n 10 in f, minor TWV (12 Fantasie per il Flauto Traverso senza basso, Hamburg Alexis Kossenko, flute Flute by Martin Wenner, after Pierre Gabriel Buffardin, Dresden boxwood, imitation ivory A 400 Les Concerts de Pan réalisation : Colin Laurent, , ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT The instrument on which I performed this Telemann Fantasia is a very important one. It is a copy of a flute signed BUFFARDIN LE FILS which was rediscovered recently, and which is the only one known by this maker. The fact is that Buffardin was also the star of the Dresden Orchestra, in fact THE great French Flautist who came to Germany and contributed to make the flûte traversière known and popular in Germany. Buffardin Le Fils is also a mystery : is it the son of Pierre Gabriel Buffardin, the famous soloist, or more probably (and this is my conviction) PierreGabriel Buffardin
