Mc Murdo Silver Masterpiece V Chassis Demo

A newlyrestored McMurdo Silver Masterpiece V chassis being demonstrated. This chassis has had all paper and electrolytic capacitors replaced, along with all out of tolerance resistors. Remaining original capacitors were restuffed and previously replaced capacitors were reproduced to retain the underchassis appearance. The set performs well except on the lowest part of Band E, where the local oscillator cuts out all mitigation measures failed to render it operational below on this band (the Manual recommends installing an extra good 6J7 tube to remedy this problem I guess I don t have one good enough
