Le retour des hirondelles French Waltz, Katy Adelson

Here is a fun French waltz called, Le retour des hirondelles, or, Return of the Swallows in English. I believe it was composed by Beniamino Pagano and Robert Trognée. I have often heard it played in the key of C, but I moved it to D to make it easier to play on the violin (more open strings ). It s definitely not a very straightforward tune to play on a violin since it has a lot of accidentals, but I tried to make it work. I ve been pretty hooked to this piece ever since I heard it a few years ago there is something about songs with a lot of chromatic accidentals that I really love for some reason. It s almost like they can toss the concept of a key signature out the window with all the accidentals, yet still sound like the right key. It s great I want to learn how to write songs like that I mostly wanted to attempt to make a video of this song because I saw a TON of swallows flying around one day, as well as little baby swallows SO CUTE I finished my Covid vaccine doses.
