Evelyn Thomas: Have A Little Faith In Me Full Album + Bonus (1979)
Evelyn Thomas was discovered by British producer Ian Levine in Chicago in the summer of 1975. She released 4 singles on 20th Century Records, including two UK Top 40 hits with Weak Spot and Doomsday before recording I Wanna Make It On My Own for Casablanca Records, released 1978. By 1979, Levine and his partner Rick Gianatos had several projects signed to Ray Harris AVI Records and recorded two new songs for a 12 single with Evelyn, Have A Little Faith In Me and No Time To Turn Around. The single gathered enough momentum for AVI to release an album with her including those two tracks on side 1. For side 2 Gianatos remixed and extended two of the cuts Evelyn had recorded in 1976, My Head s In The Stars and Love s Not Just An Illusion. Following Salsoul dropping another Levine project, Moonstone (also on my channel) Gianatos recorded three of their songs with Evelyn and shopped around for a new deal in 1980 but by then disco was declared dead.
