Glove making 1: Inserting the thumb pieces

In this video we start sewing the leather gloves. We start with the thumb piece on the left hand. I take you through the steps I use to sew the thumb piece to the trank. This video walks you through that process to help ensure you match the right pieces together in the right places. To insert the right thumb piece you follow the same steps, remembering that the right thumb mirrors the left, as the pattern piece is reversed. We still use points A, B, C D to help attach everything together; just make sure you ve matched the letters carefully. In my next video we will look at how we sew fourchettes together and then after that how to sew them into the glove.
