With rapidfire wordplay and the teasing banter of young women this song invokes the spirit of dance and flirtation. The words and melody were provided by Father Alexey Burdin to Alexander Grechaninov (18641956), who arranged it and published it in his Three GreatRussian Folk Songs in 1917.
