Bermuda Cruise Ship Crash
On September 14, 2012 the Norwegian Star and the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas cruise ships were moored sterntostern at the Royal Dockyard in Bermuda. In the afternoon a tremendous (but brief) storm blew in with heavy rain and 75mph wind gusts. Somehow the forward moorings of the Star were ripped loose and the ship was blown on a slowmotion collision course with the otherwise stationary Explorer of the Seas. This video was shot from the Windjammer Café high on the stern of the Explorer. Happil
