Nirvana Heart Shaped Box, Guitar and Bass Cover

Covering In Utero s lead single, the classic HeartShaped Box. Using my Eastwood Univox HiFlyer Phase 4. This model is a replica of the Univox Kurt Cobain used in the HeartShaped Box music video. Kurt wanted to use his Competition Mustang in the music video, but he couldn t find it so he used his white Univox instead. It later turned out that that mustang was under his bed For bass, I am using my Ibanez Black Eagle 40th Anniversary reissue. Krist Novoselic used a Ibanez Black Eagle throughout Nirvana s entire career, especially in the Bleach era. Both were recorded with my Avid Eleven Rack. I am making presets for each song s clean and distorted tones for both the guitar and bass, trying to match the album tones as close as I can. Recorded with the actual album multitracks in Pro Tools.
