Cystic Fibrosis Treatment (1965)

These appear to be out takes from a finished documentary. See PM3309. A Nurse shows a mother how to tap the back of her son who looks on. She demonstrates on a pillow. The nurse is then seen tapping the backs young children and babies. About a dozen children are seen in a small gymnasium, some are playing with toys others are hanging from a climbing frame. A nurse is gripping a young girl around the neck and pummelling near her shoulders, when she stops the girl coughs, and spits up mucous. More tapping techniques are demonstrated on pillows and then on the backs of babies and small children. A large diagram showing the lungs is used to demonstrate connections to breathing tubes.
