Jordan Belson Allures

Allures by Jordan Belson (1961) Jordan Belson s classic film Allures, original format 16mm. Soundtrack by Henry Jacobs and Jordan Belson. The film uses some interference pattern imagery which Belson created for the famous San Francisco Vortex Concerts (19591960), but the film was finished later and never shown at Vortex. I think of Allures as a combination of molecular structures and astronomical events mixed with subconscious and subjective phenomena all happening simultaneously. the beginning is almost purely sensual, the end perhaps totally nonmaterial.
