GAME RECAP: Penguins vs. Flyers , Penguins, Rust Stay White Hot
After a hardfought game one day ago at home against the Blues, the Penguins began a lengthy roadtrip in Philadelphia against their crossstate rivals. Bryan Rust continued to stay incredibly hot, earning two goals under three minutes apart. Jake Guentzel found the back of the net shortly after that, and by the end of the opening period, Pittsburgh led, 30. Atkinson got the Flyers on the board in the 2nd, but Evan Rodrigues buried one only 40 seconds later on a beautiful netfront move to restore the threegoal lead. Guentzel added his second of the night, fluttering the puck over Hart, and Brian Boyle went bardown for a shorthanded tally to finish off Pittsburgh s scoring.
