UAE successfully launches Arab worlds first Mars mission

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched its first space probe to Mars. It s the Arab world s first interplanetary mission. The probe, developed in just six years, aims to understand Mars weather and climate. Known as Hope or AlAmal in Arabic, it is expected to reach Mars orbit by February 2021, in time to mark the 50th anniversary of the UAE s formation.
