The L13 TJ Blaník Experimental comes from the gilder originally designed by Karel Dlouhý, the codesigner of L39 Albatros. The Blanik was designed out of boredom Karel Dlouhy had to face after he had broken his leg on downhill skiing and had to stay at home. The first allaluminum construction sailplane in the world features NACA laminar profiles. The total production number exceeded 3000 incl. all its variants.
