Red Faction Destruction

While replaying the Red Faction series i was pretty amazed by the GeoMod engine. Keep in mind this is a 2001 game, Red Faction was one of the first to allow players unscripted levelaltering possibilities. You can alter and destroy the environment around you. Whereas other game engines would have to modify the shape of the altered object to create a similar effect, GeoMod creates special objects which represent empty space. When, for example, an explosion blows a hole in a rock wall, the GeoMod technology c
