Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: Los Angeles, California based Leather Angel, later as Jaded Lady began in 1981, originally called Obsession, later changing it due to another band already claiming the name. Now as Leather Angel the band spent most of the early eighties building a solid fan based playing clubs in West Hollywood and its growing music scene famed for the clubs on the infamous Sunset Strip. The Strip and its overflow of struggling male bands, proved to be more than training ground for rising musicians as a few made it out and reached commercial success, however underneath its decadence, and well documented demeaning treatment of women by some of the bands, the women of Leather Angel were accepted by their male counterparts as serious musicians and far more then all female fluff, not an easy task during the beginning of hair metals heyday.
