Can a Hot Mod v2 turn a JCM800 into high gain monster
Here s a series of tests with the Hot Mod v2 Evo to see what effect it has on my JCM800 clone from Modulus Amplification I also tried 12AT7 and 12AX7 tunes in the Hot Mod to see what difference it makes to the sound, as well as comparing with the stock amp. 0:00 Introduction 2:25 Demo Hot Mod with 12AX7 high gain 3:30 Demo Hot Mod with 12AT7 high gain 4:37 Demo Stock amp boosted (TS9) 5:42 Comparisons and isolated guitars 7:46 Outro You can get details of the Hot Mod from the Legendary Tones website at Guitars used are 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom and 2022 Charvel Joe Duplantier Signature ProMod San Dimas. The amp is going into Cubase via a Two Notes Torpedo Reload where IRs are being used in the Two Notes Wall of Sound plugin. The IRs used are from OwnHammer. The Gibson is going through the OH 412 FMAN M25B+V30B OH103 IR from the 412 FMAN 6Pack Bundle which is based on a Friedman BE412
