Baby fawn rescued from a deep hole
We rescued a three day old baby fawn who had fallen into a deep and narrow hole in the ground. Eva, the nervous mother deer we know well, could hear the crying fawn, but she was unable to figure out that it was more than a meter under ground. She heard our nervous emotion when we found the fawn, and in an instinctive reaction, she ran some distance away with her remaining fawn, perhaps wanting to protect at least one fawn from whatever had befallen her other baby.
