Siccas Media presents Karmen Stendler J S Bach Prelude BWV 995 on a Dieter Müller classical guitar This video was recorded in Weimar, Germany, where Johann Sebastian Bach spent 9 years of his life between 1708 and 1717. It was there that he wrote most of his organ works and became rather famous as an organist. This Prelude is the lute version of the opening of his famous Suite No. 5, BWV 1011 for cello, the cornerstone of the baroque cello repertoire. It s written in a traditional twopart French overture form starting with a slow, dottedrhythm introduction followed by a singleline fugato.
