1966 Martin D 28 nearly destroyed, now restored by Brothers Music Shop (2 mics)
Spoon Phillips plays a 1966 Martin D28 converted to prewar specs by Brothers Music Shop, Wind Gap, PA. They took a D28 body with no neck, a damaged top and sides and restored it with an Adirondack spruce top, forwardshifted, scalloped bracing, a tucked 30s style bridge, hide glue construction, etc. Recorded with a AKG Perception 170 small diaphragm mic and a Studio Projects C1 large diaphragm mic, through a Mackie board, hard left and right pan, into a Sony
