On a Solo Camping Bushcraft Trip Using only Natural Materials I Build a Primitive Bark Roof LeanTo Survival Shelter in an Underground Root ball Bunker and Cook all my food over a campfire, I spend the night with my dog Bella on pine boughs and a raised platform. I do some campfire cooking steak on a stick and cast Iron Cooking Breakfast bacon and eggs. I use birch bark to light my fire. I harvest Chaga fungus and make tea. I stay overnight and wake to a beautiful day. There are not many materials to effectively make a waterproof shelter but I manage to accomplish the task using 2 huge pieces of bark I carefully remove from a fallen tree. I also use Leaves Debris and Sod as well as branches, sticks and twigs to insulate and boughs to make a comfortable sleeping platform. I chose a large Rootball, natural bunker shelter me from the wind and to reflect heat from my fire to keep me warm and it worked great.
