The Spinner (1930)

For over 160 years the delicate art of spinning glass (originated by the Venetians) has been practised by one family in C, Us of a middle aged woman spinning glass. Fine as human hair, soft as silk, but just glass, said Mrs Paul, the C, U of strands of the glass which do indeed look like soft strands of silk. She ties the strands in a knot.
