A Visit to Macau

Macau is a strange and interesting place. Part of the territory has been designed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, largely because of its important role as a link between China and Europe (it was a Portugese territory for nearly four centuries. ) After its reincorporation into China in 1999, Macau assumed new significance as a major gambling center; in 2006 its revenues surpassed those of Las Vegas.
