Ten Fundamental Chinwoo Routines
Under the supervision of these charismatic leaders, Chinwoo Athletic Association endeavoured to promote Chinese martial arts. They embarked on establishing a more systematic curriculum by categorizing routines into different levels for learning and assessing purpose. They also stipulated a fix curriculum for beginners by consolidating ten fundamental routines which they deemed were extremely useful for students to master the most fundamental techniques of martial arts. These ten routines are Tantui, Gongliquan, Jietantui, Baguadao, Dazhanquan, Quanyanggun, Jiequan, Wuhuqiang, Taoquan and Dandaochuanqiang. Tantui helps to build the kungfu foundation. Gongliquan and Dazhan help to increase muscular power while Jiequan improves the respiratory capacity. Jietantui enhances the anticombating ability and Taoquan practices the seizing and grappling technique. Wuhuqiang has comprehensively covered most of the important spear techniques.
