Tom Duggan interviews Lilly Martin Sahiounie about the Balouta massacre (Lattakia, Syria) of August 2013. Lilly is a US citizen married into a Syrian family and long term resident of Lattakia. After the massacre more than 100 women and children were kidnapped by armed groups of the Free Syrian Army. As the long war swung in Syria s favour, many but not all of these hostages were released.
