Classic Pin Up Art by Gil Elvgren

Gil Elvgren (19141980) was one of the most important and best loved pinup artists of the twentieth century. His heroines are often caught in humorous but distressing situations. His exquisite paintings usually depict the skirts of gorgeous girlsnextdoor blowing up for various amusing reasons, revealing lovely nylonclad legs. Elvgren studied at the American Academy of Art. He was a protege of the talented artist, Haddon Sundblom. He is best known for his pinup paintings for Brown Bigelow. Elvgren s works today are valuable and highly soughtafter.
