Malive, simo not simon The Entry
After contributing to Diynamics Four To The Floor series, Brazilian artist Malive returns with his first full EP on the label. Each track features different collaborators and showcases his versatility. Title track Reduto featuring MalaysianAustrian singer Billy Otto opens up very melancholically; its almost like floating a few inches above a foggy lake and tapping the reflective surface in the rhythm of the piano. The Entry together with Simo Not Simon picks up the pace and shows some attitude a Carribean vocal, bouncy bass and choppy percussive element get you in the mood to prance. Sophisticated, which Malive made together with Coppola and 2Strange feels very mellow and might be best described as Brazilian Jazzatronica. And closing off the Reduto EP is Back 2DB, again with Simo Not Simon an enigmatic and slightly somber Indie Dance tune with a hopeful twist. Available here:
