The House That Wasnt A Fable Of Today (1930)
Once upon a time a young man went to a London Taxidriver and said in a loud voice Drive me to 23 Leinster M, S of a taxi driver sitting on the running board of his cab talking to the young man. Taxi driver shakes his head. C, U of a piece of card upon which the address 23 Leinster Gardens, Bayswater is written. The man gets into the back of the taxi and is driven off. In the course of many moons, and countless traffic blocks, they reached the house and the driver (who knew something) departed, M, S of man getting out of the taxi and paying the driver. Steps, Door and Windows but for all that a house that never was reads the intertitle. M, S of man standing in front of the door and looking up at the sign above the door which reads: Leinster Garden He tries to find a door bell or knocker with no luck. He turns and says something to his driver. C, U of the taxi driver who smiles a gap toothed smile and taps his head as if to suggest that the man is
