The Court of the Crimson King is the fifth and final track from the British progressive rock band King Crimson s debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King. It was also released as a single. It reached, 80 on the US charts, and is the band s only charting single in the United States. Unlike the rest of the songs on the album, the track is mainly dominated by a distinct riff performed on the Mellotron. The song is split up into 3 verses, and mainly ends at 7 minutes, but continues with a little reprise, before ending on an abrupt and free time scale. This is one of their bestknown tracks.
