A teenage girl with nothing to lose joins a traveling magazine sales crew, and gets caught up in a whirlwind of hard partying, law bending and young love as she crisscrosses the Midwest with a band of misfits. American Honey is a 2016 BritishAmerican drama road film written and directed by Andrea Arnold. It stars Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf, and Riley Keough. It is Arnold s first film to be set and filmed outside of the United Kingdom. The film was selected to compete for the Palme d Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. At Cannes it won the Prix du Jury.
