John Martyn Dealer. Live 1977

This was the first John Martyn live performance I heard. At the time, I thought John was playing to a backing track of some kind. But NO. . .This is entirely John and his Echoplex. This wall of sound was created on a cheap acoustic guitar, with a tacky pick up taped up too his echoplex machine, with which john created potentialy endless sound loops which he adjusted for length, with a foot pedel. He would then play over these loops which then created endless variable sounds. I cannot explain
