When Dave Grohl was a teenager, living in Northern Virginia, Trouble Funk s band leader Tony would have Dave s band open for Trouble Funk. Big Tony planned a birthday show for himself at the 9:30 Club on May 5, and it developed into a birthday bash hosted by Dave Grohl, with performances by Bad Brains (w, Grohl on drums), Trouble Funk, and finally the Foo Fighters.
