Bon Jovi, Live at Pepsi Arena, Albany 2003

Heading into the Bounce era with this rockin show from the US arena leg early in the year At this point, the band still seemed proud of their album with them regularly perfordming around 7 tracks off that record. Even though I personally always preferred their warmer sound on other tours, the slightly darker and more heavy approach to these shows is always a nice change Really energetic show from the band s first US leg in 2003 Even though Jon is straining a bit vocally, he was still far superior to how his voice would develop during the tour s stadium run later on. The band entered the stage with heavy hearts with David Bryan s dad s death in mind that had occured just one day prior to this concert. Before Runaway, Jon takes a few minutes to honour him and talks about the time they had nothing and he was always there to support them with whatever they needed. A really heartfelt speech and at a few points during Runaway, he seems to be close to choking up. T
