Ekaterina Maximova, Vyatcheslav Gordeev PDD from Giselle (1974)

I ve been so used to seeing Ekaterina Maximova performing this pas de deux with Vladimir Vasiliev that I was really interested to see how she would approach it with Vyatcheslav Gordeev. I ve only once seen Ekaterina Maximova dance this pas de deux and it was with her husband in Paris on a Bolshoi tour in, I think, 1973. The second act was transcendentally beautiful and I left Palais Garnier in a daze. I was pretty young so maybe my reaction was partly that. Partly not
