On January 13, 2015 the container ship CSCL Globe made its first call to the Port of Hamburg as part of its maiden voyage. Currently it is the longest container vessel in the world. The largest container ship of the world as measured by tonnage and capacity is the MSC Oscar. CSCL Globe was constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries at their shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea.
