Lavinia Meijer Mom Dad ft. Iggy Pop

Taking inspiration from Iggy Pops poem, the harpist created an original composition based on the cadence in his voice the rhythmical side, and the melodic side, then combined it with a recording of Iggy Pops spoken word. The poem itself, Mom Dad, was written several years ago by Iggy Pop after the passing of his parents. The poem is about searching for balance in life, says Lavinia Meijer. On one hand, you are searching for your own happiness whether thats music, a career, or other things but at the same time searching for balance with people very close to you, and staying close to your roots as well.
