Origami Pop up Sunset WATCHER
Rather simple How to fold a popup card of a sun that opens up to reveal a person watching the sunset. This origami sunset, sitting person model is from one square, but the smile and sunglasses need to be drawn on if desired. The octagon origami sun in this model is folded in the same manner as the dot (third eye) in the origami portrait, a picture of which I recently published on my Community Tab. The whole purpose for designing this popup was to show how to fold the dot up close as a useful reference when I finally manage publish the tutorial for the portrait, which I modeled after my Indian friend, Manashita, an accomplished electrical engineering professor, scientist from Tezpur University in Assam, who is currently conducting research at UC Berkeley on a oneyear Fulbright scholarship. We met salsa dancing and have danced a lot together. The idea to transform it into a sun reflecting off the water was inspired my other friend, Marisol, whose name literally means sea and sun in Span
