17 EXCLUSIVE: Throwback Thursday April 13, 2007 In the spring of 2007, Britney Spears decided to end almost four weeks of postrehab silence and respond to reports that she was on drugs and couldn t care for her children. Britney went for a tanning session and then for a sushi dinner in Bel Air with her cousin Allie, and as the two were in the tanning salon, Britney called for an X17 photographer to come in and videotape her message to the public. This is what she had to say: Hi Yes, first I want to say hey to all of my fans and I cant wait for all my stuff to come out Im really really excited. And also I just want to say that Im just really really shocked at like how nice our world is because it is just so nice. Like, oh my god. Like the other day like I was sitting there and I saw all these magazines and they said I was pregnant and like its so true. Like, America, believe everything you read because like youre smart and Im stupid. Like, for real Come on, yall
