Sonic Youth Hot Wire My Heart (Crime cover) + I Wanna Be Your Dog (The Stooges cover) The Rat, Boston, US, May 9, 1987 Recently someone sent us video of an unseen, impromptu SY set at The Rat in Boston to benefit magazine Forced Exposure on May 9, 1987. The short, unannounced SY set consists of two covers performed on gear borrowed from Dredd Foole and the Din Crimes Hot Wire My Heart and The Stooges I Wanna Be Your Dog (just a few weeks before we performed the song w surprise guest Iggy Pop at Londons Town and Country). Steve Albini is the MC and J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. joins us on additional guitar on The Stooges cover.
