I m thankful I was able to react with enough time to just miss him. If he continued to pull out instead of hitting the brakes, I would have hit him. Personally, I can say that for me, incidents like these are the main source of danger when riding in the city. It s difficult to get into an accident when you give yourself plenty of time to react in normal scenarios, but sometimes that luxury isn t afforded to you when something really unexpected and sudden happens.
