helen Kane I Wanna Be Loved By You

Kane, Helen née Schroeder (190466), singer and comedienne. Celebrated as the BoopBoopaDoop Girl, the petite, moonfaced, babyvoiced New Yorker was one of the meteoric stars of the late 1920s. She appeared on Broadway in A Night in Spain (1927) and Good Boy (1928), introducing I Wanna Be Loved by You in the latter. For a brief time she was a headliner in vaudeville and appeared in early talkies. Her last Broadway role was in Shady Lady (1933).
